Master thesis seminar

If you are interested in writing an empirical Master thesis at our chair, please contact us with a short synopsis of your proposed topic, consisting of:

  •  the underlying research question,
  •  potential data sources and further information on data sourcing and availability (timeline),
  •  the basic methodological approach (definition and measurement of the variables to be investigated and the (main) explanatory variables, including potential estimation methods),
  •  selected introductory literature (in particular relevant/pioneering empirical studies).

Knowledge of quantitative economics and statistics is a prerequisite for the supervision of your empirical Master's thesis by our chair. In addition, participation in the courses “Econometrics” and “Evidence-Based Policy Analysis” is recommended.
